Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, is scheduled to perform at Lasolas Nightclub in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, on November 13, 2026. The forthcoming appearance has generated conversations across social media, particularly because the nightclub is co-owned by Pero Adeniyi, the singer's former partner, and her husband, Ochuko Agofure.

The announcement was made by Pero through a social media post on Sunday, November 1, accompanied by a promotional video featuring 2Baba and his daughter, Ehikowoicho. In the video, the award-winning musician personally confirmed his appearance and invited fans to attend the event.

The announcement has attracted attention beyond the entertainment community, with many people discussing the unusual connection between the singer and the nightclub's ownership.

In her announcement, Pero described the forthcoming event as an evening of timeless music, beautiful memories and unforgettable experiences.

She also shared a reflective message about life's unexpected turns, describing how different chapters and new beginnings can bring people together in ways they might never have imagined.

The message quickly attracted attention from social media users, with several followers sharing their reactions to the announcement.

2Baba Invites Fans to Lasolas Nightclub

In the promotional video, 2Baba encouraged his fans and music lovers to attend the November 13 event.

However, the organisers have not publicly provided a complete performance schedule or additional details about the event in the reports announcing the booking.

A Nightclub Co-Owned by Pero and Her Husband

Lasolas Nightclub is owned and managed by Pero Adeniyi and her husband, Ochuko Agofure. The establishment, located in Ipaja, Lagos, was opened on December 23, 2024.

The venue's connection to 2Baba has become a major talking point because of the history between the singer and Pero.

Their relationship became publicly known in 2005, and they share three children: Ehikowoicho, Justin and Innocent Idibia Jnr.

The upcoming performance therefore represents an interesting professional engagement involving people whose personal histories have previously attracted considerable public attention.

2Baba's Musical Legacy Continues

2Baba remains one of Nigeria's most recognised music veterans, with a career that has influenced the development of contemporary Nigerian popular music.

He rose to international recognition through songs such as African Queen, which became one of the defining Nigerian love songs of its era.

Other popular records associated with his career include Implication, Only Me, If Love Is a Crime and Amaka.

His music has earned him a loyal audience over the years, while his contributions to Afrobeats and Nigerian entertainment continue to attract recognition.

Social Media Reactions Follow the Announcement

Following Pero's announcement, social media users began sharing their opinions about the forthcoming performance.

Some followers welcomed the development and praised the support shown towards the singer, while others focused on the personal history connecting both individuals.

Nevertheless, the announcement itself confirms a scheduled musical performance, rather than establishing any change in the personal relationships involved.

November 13 Performance Draws Attention

With the performance scheduled for November 13, 2026, 2Baba's appearance at Lasolas Nightclub is already attracting considerable entertainment coverage.

The event combines the appeal of a celebrated Nigerian musician with an unexpected venue connection, making it one of the entertainment stories generating discussion this week.
