Ned Nwoko Warns Against False Rumours About Regina Daniels, Threatens Legal Action

Describe the image

Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken out against the circulation of false rumours about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, warning that individuals spreading fabricated information about her could face legal consequences.

In a public statement shared on Instagram on Monday, November 2, the lawmaker appealed to Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give the actress what he described as “some breathing space” amid ongoing public attention surrounding her personal life and health.

Nwoko expressed concern over reports claiming that Daniels had died, alongside other misleading stories about her health and private circumstances. He described the publications as harmful and distressing, insisting that they should not be dismissed as ordinary social media engagement.

Nwoko appeals for compassion and privacy

In his statement, Nwoko said his appeal was motivated not only by concern for Regina but also by the well-being of their two children.

He said the children deserved to see their mother receive love, care and support as she worked towards recovery. He added that, regardless of the difficulties in their relationship, her welfare remained important to him.

“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover,” he said.

The senator also urged people who genuinely care about the actress to discourage the circulation of unverified claims rather than sharing or amplifying them.

He argued that the rumours were adding to the pressure she was already facing instead of helping her through a difficult period.

Legal action against people spreading false reports

Nwoko issued a strong warning to bloggers and social media users who deliberately create or circulate false stories about Daniels.

According to him, publications containing fabricated death announcements, misleading health reports and other damaging claims are being documented.

He warned that individuals found responsible could be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels.

The senator also criticised people who allegedly hide behind anonymous social media accounts to invent stories for clicks, engagement and online attention.

His statement signals a tougher response to misinformation about the actress, particularly as rumours about her health and personal circumstances continue to attract attention online.

However, Nwoko’s warning is a stated intention to pursue legal action; it does not mean that any particular blogger or social media user has already been prosecuted.

Regina Daniels’ health challenges draw public attention

The latest appeal follows a video Daniels shared on October 10, 2026, when she celebrated her 25th birthday.

In the video, the actress appeared in a wheelchair and spoke about health difficulties that had affected her ability to move around freely. She explained that what initially seemed like a minor condition had developed into a more serious challenge, involving pain and periods of difficulty walking.

Nwoko referred to the birthday video in his statement, saying it gave the public a glimpse of what she had been experiencing.

Daniels has not publicly provided a detailed medical diagnosis in the reports surrounding the video. It is therefore important for social media users to avoid presenting speculation about her condition as established medical fact.

Their marital dispute remains in the public eye

Nwoko and Daniels’ relationship has attracted considerable public attention since their marital difficulties became widely discussed in October 2025.

The couple have exchanged allegations and responses concerning their relationship, with the senator previously making claims about substance use that Daniels disputed. Daniels has also made allegations of controlling and abusive behaviour, which Nwoko denied.

Their two children have remained an important part of public discussions about the situation.

Although Nwoko’s latest statement expresses concern for Regina’s welfare, it does not announce a reconciliation or confirm that the couple have resolved their marital differences. His central message is that the actress should be allowed privacy and support without being subjected to fabricated stories.

A reminder to verify before sharing

The controversy highlights the harm that false reports can cause, particularly when they concern someone’s health, family or personal circumstances.

Nwoko’s warning has renewed calls for bloggers and social media users to verify information before publishing or forwarding sensitive claims. False death announcements can cause unnecessary fear among relatives, friends and supporters, while also placing additional emotional pressure on the person being discussed.

For now, the senator wants the public to stop spreading fabricated reports about Regina and allow her the space to focus on her well-being.

The broader lesson is simple: online attention should never come at the expense of accuracy, privacy and basic human compassion.
