Describe the image The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed to Nigerians to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu another chance in the 2027 presidential election, urging voters to assess the administration’s performance before deciding on its re-election.

The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, made the appeal on Tuesday after meeting with President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja alongside the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.

According to Yari, the APC plans to run an issue-based campaign focused on the achievements and records of the Tinubu administration rather than personal attacks against opposition candidates.

He said the party would present its policies, programmes and achievements to Nigerians and ask voters to consider whether the government deserves another term.

Yari explained that the campaign council was committed to a responsible political campaign without insults or name-calling.

The APC is preparing to officially launch its presidential campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Yilwatda also claimed that several political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Accord Party, were supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid.

However, political alignments within opposition parties remain a subject of debate, with some political figures and factions maintaining different positions on possible support for the president.

The 2027 presidential election is expected to be a major political contest as parties prepare to present their candidates and campaign promises to Nigerians.

The APC says it intends to use the administration’s record in office to convince voters to support continuity under Tinubu’s leadership.
